Now, the project part of the modules which have a project is evaluated very seriously. First you cud copy and get away with it. .But now they are making sure that no one copies.
I had copied an Anonymous Procedure in Oracle (which is similar to a query in RDBMS) and got a 0 in the project. The person from whom i had copied also got 0. So now i will have to get 93% in Oracle module retest for passing in Oracle. The first test for it is already over and i got 61%.
And today was also Java retest for me which i again failed with the same score of 47%. Less than 10 people from about 80 people who appeared for the re-test have passed. Retests are really tough to crack. So make sure that you dont get a re-test.
From .NET class of 21 July batch, 58 people were caught copying in project. Infy people have a special tool by which they can compare the codes of project that we submit. All the 58 people have got a ZERO in the project.
Also about 40 people from Java class of 28 July batch also got a ZERO in the project part. This is only how much i know.. The numbers can be greater..
Advanced Java going on right now and its really tough... So in short my tough times of training have started now...I am feeling like i am into the last month of studying for 12th standard... And i am not alone... ;-) ...

Ya, it is this strict... And tests are not tough.. Just that i dont study that sincerely..
You would have done well if you had joined...

Diff streams have diff types of projects...
Duration is the same for all streams.. It is about 2 months for all streams..

You cant choose PLES. They wud start a batch only if they have a requirement. So no use in preparing in advance. Also there are only 90-100 people from about 450 people selected spanning 3 joining dates.
Food is good if you have lived outside home before otherwies people dont like it. It works fine for me. One dish costs from 20-38 Rs.. Most veg dishes are only upto 25 Rs..
No gujrati food specially..
Ya, you can get free time easily for your favorite activity but no time for your second most favorite activity...
Num of hrs depends on you.. It can vary from 8-12 hrs...

There is no LAN... you can surf from their systems free of charge from 5 pm to 11 pm and 7-9 am... reliance web world is not good.. speed is slow and the charge is 25 rs per hour...
you can get buses every 10 mins from the bus stand to infy... charge is 7 rs per person..

hi chintan! u said boys will get single rooms only. are u sure?? because in october some earlier batches are leaving, so their double rooms may be available by nov. am i right or not?? please clarify.also does the room have a heater,as i heard its too cold over there?

You cant predict your stream in any way.. So better not prepare for any stream in advance..

Yes, boys will mostly get single bed rooms because they are meant for boys only. Boys living in shared hostel from our batch are also shifted to single bed rooms as soon as there is space there...
Their double bed rooms will be used to accommodate girls... As earlier batches leave, even single bed room hostels will become available for new accommodation. Yes, all rooms have AC so heater is also there...

chintan,i came to read ur blogs now only.i was very much shocked to knw that even after u cleared both the compre s due to cgpa u were exited.Nnw only i cam to realize the importance of cgpa.I wish i cud have read this befor ejoining infy.Can u tell me one thing ,what was ur cgpa at the end of generic training?

If you read the question to which i answered 4.07, you will realize that my CGPA was 4.07 at the end of generic training. After the end of stream training, it was 3.95.
