Stream Training Starts...

(I have got JEE stream)

Now stream training has started and the first module is over. It is named HJSX (HTML/JavaScript/XML) and in this you have to make webpages using HTML, XML and JavaScript. Editing templates of my blog has given me enough experience to make this module seem very easy for me. But ya, I do find other people slog it out to understand the concepts. You have to do a small project for which you get one day. That’s good in a way as it postpones the test to Monday. Our project has just been evaluated and all four of us scored 29.5/30. And we have the highest from the surrounding groups. But others just have 1 or 1.5 marks lesser than us so it doesn’t make that big a difference.



And ya ya, DotNet training is hectic as hell. They had about 80 slides in a day and have no project so the test was on friday for them. Many people who had 5 CGPA throughout generic training failed or barely managed to pass. So just pray that you don’t get DotNET. I also asked some people from 14 june and 23 june batch who got .Net and they all said that it really is tough to score.




One minor good news is that they have not yet decided the new extended syllabus ( 4 months for IT / 6 months for non-IT ). So even for 15 September batch, the training is of 4 months for all. Only 6 people from 8th Sept and 12 people from 15th September have been able to pass the screening test. So they wont start a fasttrack for such a small number so all are in long cycle by default. And they didn’t even start a fasttrack for 25th august batch in which 67 people passed the screening test out of 367 who appeared. What I am trying to tell you is that CS-IT people better forget about fasttrack and non-CS-IT people rejoice as they wont have 6 months training now. But ya, they are very proactive and may come up with the new course any time. So don’t be too sure about this one.

    good work bro.... i wanted to know is there a possibility for us to change from on stream to another??? will they encourage mutual exchange???

    u r really doin gud wrk dude...hey i wanted to knw is that smthng like that whole of the col wud get der joining on the same day... bcoz non cs/it people of my colg have got pit training... which wud b cmpleted in end of december... is dat so that we hav to wait for dem??? or we will get it earlier???

    nd u sayin tht fst track ppl r nt qualifying the exam bt ealier thr ws no sch prob...thn y hs ths haddnd suddnly???any particular reasns???r the exams tough nw????if cs/it ppl hv fasttrack thn wht wil happn to non cs/it ppl???wil thy hv 6mnths thn or 4mnths stil???

    Hi Chintan........
    man can you get the dates of coming months or two when the batches which are undergoing training will complete their training......

    On campus connect site they have mentioned that remaining 6800 students will get their joining in months of Nov-dec......
    So m just kind of curious in knowing the dates and guessing DOJ's accordingly...

    ya, earlier it used to be like that but now due to PIT, DOJs of the same college may differ...

    no no... even earlier only about half the people used to pass the exam... ohhhhhh.... the way u ask questions is really irritating... i have said in my post that they are not yet ready with the new course....

    there are many streams... And you are asking for too much from someone who is in infy training...


    There are unix, mainframes, .net, java, open systems, ples, unix, finacle etc... and i think you can know by urself what all these streams deal with...

    Compre result takes 1-1.5 months to be announced..

    No, i didnt get it.. 2 of my friends got it.. Total 45 have got PLES from july batches from which 180 were eligible for PLES...

    Ya, you can have a swap to PLES if you want after the completion of training.. But again, it depends on their requirements...

    Nice job man.
    I want to ask u that
    1)how do u prepare for the tests? I mean to say that after completion of each day class (completion of assignments) u return back to ur room & study from ur laptop those slides or u go through the printed books of Infy? Pls reply.
    2)I come to know that GEC is 2km from hostel so u have to walk 2km everyday?

    @Tilak...

    I would study the slides on my laptop usually because there is no printed material for streams... But also a book related to the current module will be kept issued by me. All concepts cant be clear just by reading slides..

    GEC is not 2 km but about 1 km. But ya, GEC-2 is more far than GEC-1. And the single bed room hostels are exactly diagonally opposite to GEC-2 making it the longest distance on the campus. That can be around 2 km.

    Yes, i walk if i have the time. Otherwise i take a cycle. GEC-1 is 15 mins walking distance from my hostel. Assume GEC-2 to be 20-25 mins.


    I have reliance netconnect USB modem. I have night plan 10-6 free for monthly 450 Rs. speed is 144 kbps... about 3 times that of dial up..

    I am from computer science branch. I havnt learned java. So, will this affect my stream allocation. What do u suggest, should i go for learning atleast core by now...or nthng to worry about.

    No, stream allocation is totally random... No logic to that...
    Dont study anything except C lang or atmost even RDBMS... Cuz you dont know which stream you will get. . If you get .net then JAVA will be totally useless..
